Clinical child psychology is newly developed/developing specialty of professional psychology. Though the basic tenets are similar to that of clinical psychology yet the specific requirement for a clinical child psychologist is to have a background in child, adolescent and family development and developmental psychopathology. The clinical child psychologists conduct scientific research and provide psychological services to the children and adolescents.
