The author has been painstakingly prepared the text of this discourse. To know the nitty-gritty of the vocabulary and its usage of Bashgali language, an attempt has been made at a detailed analysis of the materials contained in Colonel J. Davidson’s well-known notes on the dialect. A mechanical list of all the forms occurring in the grammatical sketch and the Bashgali sentences published by his predecessors was drawn up. The writer has gone through that list, arranged it, and worked it into shape of a vocabulary, after comparing the every single entry in the list with the original. He has given a total description of vowels and consonants so that anybody could be in a position to learn and speak this language without any difficulty. The book is the product of extensive research and study of Bashgali language. The subject of the book is very illuminating and delicate. There is no statement in the book to which exception may justly be taken.
