The story takes place in Arizona where a young woman has taken her first teaching assignment. She has one student that hates her, another student that is the kind of student a teacher would dream about. At the beginning of the book she is stuck out in the middle of no where at night accidently. Towards the end of the book you think about a story that very little children are told and how the story gets the children out of trouble.
