This work presents an exhaustive study of the growth and rise of the leading Muslim political party of the South Asian Subcontinent-the All-India Muslim League. Founded in December 1906, it began as an elite party, limiting its membership to 400 for the whole subcontinent and charging very high registration and annual fees.
