This book on International Financial Management covers the vast subject in a simple and lucid manner. It provides the conceptual framework of how decisions are taken in the international financial field and familiarizes the students with the growing challenges faced by the finance manager in the international context. This book covers the entire syllabus, approved by the U.G.C. on the subject of International Financial Management. It is written in non-mathematical manner, easy to understand for the vast majority of average students and by corporate executives. It has the added advantage of integrating the domestic finance with international finance on the one hand and harmonizing the finance function with investment function of the Finance Manager on the other. It has both theoretical and practical aspects with a bias towards the practical uses of the subject.
Part I sets out the basic backdrop of environment and objectives, and methods of the multinationals. Part II deals with the most common exposures of the exchange rate and interest rate volatility on the international transactions. The more general exposures, their nature, measurement and management etc. are discussed in detail in Part III, through avenues of hedging, futures, options and swaps etc. Part IV analyses the operational strategies, global business operations and practices in international finance in general. This is followed by a discussion on international financial management with respect to short-term finance in Part V and with respect to long-term finance in Part VI. The integration of finance function with investment function is the special focus in Part VII.ISBN - 9789350974506
