Evie and Lola, committed eco-worriers, go on a school trip to a sea life centre and learn about the threat to dolphins and other sea creatures from plastic pollution. They want to stop it, but everyone around them seems to be fed up with being green. How can Evie and Lola inspire people to help the dolphins? Is it worth them trying to make a difference?
This is the latest in a series of books for younger readers (aged 7+) touching on ecological themes. Previous books are Penguin Problems, Tree Trouble and Saving the Bacon (reviewed by us here). It`s a great little story, and there are eco-fact panels at the ends of chapters that give more information and useful tips. There`s also a lovely poem in this one, written by one of the characters.
All in all, a cute story, recommended to young animal lovers. And check out the Eco-Worriers site for quizzes, green ideas and eco-facts.ISBN-9781853409981
