All the articles of Kuldip Nayar on relations between India and Pakistan, with special focus on Kashmir, have been included in this volume. It is a history of wars and accords, of enmity and amity, of failures and successes. Many situations you would like to know are discussed as they happened, phase by phase. He tells about the meetings at Tashkent between Lal Bahadur Shastri and General Mohammad Ayub Khan, at Shimla between Mrs Indira Gandhi and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, at Islamabad between Benzir Bhutto and Rajiv Gandhi, at Lahore between Nawaz Sharif and Atal Behari Vajpayee and at Agra between Atal Behari Vajpayee and General Pervez Musharraf. Mr Nayar suggest a solution to the Kashmir problem, which even Sheikh Abdullah liked. The author also reveals that adventures of Pakistani forces at Kargil and gives details of militants and their operations.

This work will be a useful study for academicians, parliamentarians, politicians, students and all those who want to know about what has gone wrong between India and Pakistan.
