The protection and promotion of Human rights need a conducive and enabling environment, in particular appropriate regulation, and a well functioning institutional frameworks. All the actions the State should be on this solemn pledge and duty. Good governance Good governance and human rights are mutually interdependent for a progressive realization of an effective democratic state. Good governance cannot be achieved in isolation from human rights. The two concepts reinforce each and many of their core principles are common. In the present, these two concepts have an added significance for the common good of the people.
