About The Book -: The Baudhayana Shrauta Sutra (Baudhayana Srautasutra or Baudhayanasrautasutram) is a Late Vedic text dealing with the solemn rituals of the Taittiriya Shakha school of the Black Yajurveda that was composed in eastern Uttar Pradesh during the late Brahmana period. It was transmitted both orally and through manuscript copying. It was printed in 1904-23 by The Asiatic Society, translated by C.G. Kashikar in part in his "Srautakosa", and as a whole later on. In preparing the text of this second volume of the Baudhayana-srautasutra the editor has had to cope with many more difficulties than he had to do when preparing the text of the first volume. Indeed, a few months ago I was almost despairing of obtaining sufficient material for this volume. The facts is, that the tradition of these parts of the sutra, describing for the greater part the rituals, partly obsolete, partly less observed than the darsapurnamasa, agnyadheya and agnistoma, is, throughout India,
