About the Book :-Pashto also known as Pakhto, Pushto, Pushtu, Pushtoo, Pathan, or Afghan language) is an Iranian language of the Indo-Iranian language family spoken by Pashtuns living in southeastern Afghanistan and western Pakistan. The accompanying book does not profess to be an exhaustive treatise on Pushtu Gammar. It is rather the result of a collection of notes made. It is published in the hope that various difficulties which present themselves to beginners may be explained—difficulties which either have not been explained in any hitherto published grammar. The workbook accompanies the ‘Intermediate Pashto’ textbook, and provides additional explanations, in English, of Pashtun culture and Pashto grammar. It also contains additional exercises, with answer keys. The units and sections correspond to those of the textbook. Beginning Pashto is part of a set of materials for teaching oral and written Afghan Pashto. The Pashto writing system is taught in the first unit of the book and is used in the presentation of the material from then on.
