The author has structured the hierarchy of courts in ancient India and the way the courts were handling the matter and disposing off them in speedy way. It is interesting to read the methods followed in ancient India as to how the proceedings of the court were conducted, how the witness were examined , how the defendant or accused was called upon and judgement delivered. The methodology followed to extract truth from the accused and the ordeals conducted in cases where there was no eye witness. Merits like speedy justice, transparency and affordability under ancient system can provide national reorientation to the present system.
