FOSLA: Frustrated One-Sided Lovers’ Association is a group formed by the first year MBBS students at Nehru Medical College, Bhopla and the glue that holds them together - their common aim to hook up with a girl. Once a member of FOSLA has achieved that, he must relinquish his membership. Other activities that FOSLA members or “frustoos” as they call themselves, indulge in include bullying professors, having accidents at the dissection table and experiencing physical injuries during a night of celebration.
The action in FOSLA: Frustrated One-Sided Lovers’ Association begins when an active frustoo and college all-rounder JD comes to know that Mansi, one of the most popular girls at Nehru Medical College might be interested in him. But JD needs to be sure of her interest and decide how far he will go to woo her. He is now faced with the a quandary when he realizes that if Mansi does reciprocate his feelings, he will have to quit FOSLA, of which he enjoys being a part of. Will he choose to remain a frustoo or date Mansi, the most beautiful and intelligent girl at Nehru Medical College, is the plot of the book.
The book manages to capture standard college experiences like crushes and first love in an entertaining manner which makes the story relatable to students countrywide. What`s more, the story is set in a medical college which comes as a welcome change as most novels of this genre are set in an engineering college. ISBN - 9788129120601
