A history of the relations which have subsisted between the two countries from the time of Warren Hastings to 1910 , with a particular account of the mission to Lhasa of 1904. This is the celebrated account of the military force that occupied Tibet in 1904 written by the military commander of that force. It details all the various political intercourses of India with the Tibet since the embassy of George Boyle in 1774. It delves in the details of all the efforts to establish trade with the Tibetans.
