This is an analysis of the relations that existed between the governments of Nepal and British India. In 1857 the troops sent by the Nepalese king contributed to suppressing the mutiny in India. In 1887 when the ruling house was usurped and the family made refugees in India the British Indian Government failed of offer any aid to the ruling family of Nepal.
