The Little Prince, first published in 1943 in French, is a delightful novella. It has since been translated into more than 250 languages and adapted into movies and plays. The narrator of the story, a pilot, meets a little boy, the Prince, whose home is a distant asteroid. The Prince’s asteroid is about as big as a house, and has three volcanoes, a rose, and a few baobab trees. The baobab trees are weeds and the prince has to spend a lot of time uprooting them. He loves the rose, but the flower is vain and does not love him back. Feeling lonely, he sets out to see what the rest of the universe is like. While visiting Earth, the Prince meets a snake, a desert flower, several rose bushes, a desert fox, a railwayman, and a merchant. The wisdom that the Prince gathers from his interaction with each of these characters forms the core of the book’s plot.ISBN - 9788183520676
