In this book, Advaita Philosophy, the authors have attempted to trace the origin, evolution and interpretation of Advaita philosophy since the prehistoric era in thirteen chapters. After an introduction of the theme under discussion given in the first chapter, the study has been categorized into two parts. The first part called, ˜Legacy of Pre-Sankara`s Advaita` consists of six chapters devoted to conceptual development, Gaudapada`s monastic advaitism, logical justification of Badarayana and Upavarsa, the doxographical tradition of the Pre-Sankara`s Advaita, and Sankara`s philosophical synthesis of Advaita. The second part called, ˜Legacy of Post-Samkara`s Advita` comprises last six chapters viz., philosophical interpretations, Madana`s theory of liberation, Vacaspati`s philosophy of non-dualism, the Vivarana School of Advaita Naturalism, the dialectical interpretation, and lastly, the modern interpretation of Advaita philosophy.
