Etymologically, the term ˜Education` finds its origin in the Latin word ˜educare`, meaning ˜to lead out`. In simple terms, education is the process through which one becomes able to express one`s inner feelings and thoughts properly. It is one of the most valuable and precious gift of the Divine Creator for mankind, as it distinguishes man from animal and thus establishes his position at the top interalia.
If we cast a glance on the religious scriptures, there are a number of instances, which are ample proof of the importance of education. Religion apart, we also see in the day to day life that man is scaling ever new heights in every walk of life very rapidly. All the achievements, we know now, would not have been possible, if man was ignorant or unable to read or write.
Education of a person is supposed to start from the lap of mother itself. That`s why, whatever a child learns during infancy, becomes indelible and influence directly or indirectly his/her action every now and then.
Since the inception of the Universe down to the present day, man has witnessed numerous ups and downs. The present form of educational edifice is consequence of painstaking and toilsome efforts of our forefathers through whose efforts; the system of education could reach us in the present shape. Thanks to all of them!
