Fiction has been dominating English literature and Indian English literature since nineteenth century. Poetry and poets have been neglected by both publishers and readers. The fact that poets are seers and they convey great values and messages through short pieces of writing is deliberately forgotten and never taken into consideration. Dr. K. V. Dominic, an emerging Indian English poet, short story writer, critic and editor, is trying through this edited anthology to expose, evaluate, and thus honour his senior, major Indian English poets and their contributions promulgated to their compatriots and the reading public abroad. There are eighteen critical articles in this anthology dealing with the works of twelve poets, namely, Nissim Ezekiel, Kamala Das, Jayanta Mahapatra, Syed Ameeruddin, R. K. Singh, Dilip Chitre, Shiv K. Kumar, I. K. Sharma, D. C. Chambial, Pronab Kumar Majumder, Aju Mukhopadhyay, Hazara Singh and Manas Bakshi. ISBN-9788189012827
