The author, a very respectful name in the realm of Indian historical scholarship and research, often adopts a moral tone, and does not hesitate to censure the British for using un-chivalrous tactics during some of the described battles (especially during the battle of Plassey). This book is a reprint of the 1914 edition, and has 5 charts and battle-plans, as well as a map of India.
