As an interdisciplinary work, this book "Utilization of health services in Urban Kerala a socio-economic study" focuses on the problems and determinatns of urban halth. It identifies the basic problem faced by the urbn slum dwellers with respects to the utilization of public health care service system, utilization pattersn of health care services, the perception of urabn and slum dwellers with regard to various health problems and above all the linkage of morbidity pattern and socio-Economic status of the urban and slum dwellers.

Dr. K. Gangadharan (M.A., B.L.I.Sc., Net., M.Phil., Ph.D.) is presently erving as the Selection Grade Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Pazahassi Raaj NSS college, Mattanur, affiliated to the Kannur University. He is the Member of Board of Studies in Economics of different universities in Kerala. He has published articles in journals of national importance.
