Geographic Information Systems or popularly known as GIS has been strengthening it`s roots since the role of remote sensing has increased. Dr K Elangovan is presently a Senior Lecturer at Department of Civil Engineering and In-Charge of GIS Laboratory, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has wide experience of teaching, research and implementing GIS techniques in various fields and has also delivered many lectures on GIS and GPS applications, in many engineering colleges and also at various seminars and conferences.
