Elements of Mechanical Engineering has been developed to serve as a textbook for engineering students of Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU). This book completely conforms to the syllabus framed by VTU for the course on Elements of Mechanical Engineering. It has been written in an easy-to-understand and comprehensible manner as to enable students to gain maximum understanding of the subject.
The contents have been diligently structured to lead students through all relevant concepts necessary for the study of mechanical engineering. Each chapter incorporates useful pedagogical features such as solved examples (consisting of questions from previous years� examinations), detailed 3-D illustrations, and review exercises, all of which contribute towards strengthening the students� grasp on the concepts covered in the chapter.
