The original book Practical Cardiology was primarily designed as a reference for general practitioners in the fast growing area of cardiology. The book was published in 1999 into a market notorious for not purchasing books. The concept is to be rewritten to access a broader market of clinical medical students, GP registrars in training and cardiac nurses. Market conditions have changed at all levels – undergraduate/trainee and practising.
