The Study of Overseas Indians has emerged as rich and variegated area of multidisciplinary research interest. Among the disciplines contributing to this field of immense theoretical potential as well as imminent policy import, sociology and economics have been in the forefront. This revised edition also deals with the empirical reality of Overseas Indians and theoretical and methodological issues raised in it.
