This book attempt to analyse and assess the security doctrines propounded and practtised by the leaders of Soviet Union from Lenin to Pulin present Russia. The concept of security in its military, political, economic and human dimensions has been presented along a specific context. Also explores the reasons for the disintegration of the soviet Union, and analyses its impact on the security of new Russia. Copteps taken by Yeltsin and Particularly Putin to sort out the problems in Russian security have been discussed. An effort has also been made to evaluate their contributions in this direction, and to suggest remedial measures to strengthen the security of Russia.
