Anthropology in India has passed a long way. The year 2020 marks the centenary of post-graduate teaching of the discipline in India, it is only befitting that the fraternity of Anthropologists in India commemorates this historic journey by revisiting and looking back, deliberating upon the disciplinary journey of Anthropology in India, through the contribution of the doyens in the field. These stalwarts also shaped the trajectories of teaching, research, and creation of Institution and professional bodies and their organs of knowledge dissemination.
