Fun with Creative Writing is a series of workbooks (1-8) to encourage and develop writing skills, creative and functional, in young learners. The series is designed for classroom practice as well as individual use. The books at early levels focus on simple, picture-based exercises in writing paragraphs, anecdotes, stories, rhymes and poems, along with innovative and fun tasks. Often drawing from the child’s immediate environment, these exercises train learners towards creating nuanced writing.
The tasks for the higher levels introduce and encourage the learners to try their hand at diverse forms of writing, including short stories, haikus, shape poems, couplets, jingles, dialogues, descriptions and advertisements. Each task is accompanied by a set of brief guidelines and samples to enable learners to plan their drafts and review their work, thereby encouraging independent work.
