Child labour as a social problem has become an important component of welfare consciousness among the public, school organizations and the state. The problem of child labour is mankind`s belated recognition that children are important and that care for each stage of a child`s growth is imperative if a nation is to prosper. In the present study, an attempt has been made to find out the socio-economic factors which play a significant role in pouching children into the labour force and the repercussions of early employment. The study discloses that poverty, indebtedness, social customs and attitude of parents to education are the main reasons which force children to work as labourers.

This study highlights how the child labour in hotel based workers are deprived of their education and other childhood activities. It examines their working conditions to what extent they are exploited by the Hotel Owners, Managers and Masters, denial of basic rights, health hazards and unhealthy practices. Further, this book provides a detailed insight how they are turned into delinquents, and how they fall prey to sub-culture. It recommends that government should enforce compulsory primary education to check the problem education to check the problem of child and also insists that the parents should be prepared to sacrifice their lives for the betterment of their children.
