Textbooks on Environmental Economics are plentifully available. But most of them seldom satisfy the requirements of academic community due to insufficient explanation on the economic content of environmental damages. Another reason is that some of these books are not simple and lucid. This book tries to overcome the above two limitations by incorporating sufficient economic contents and through unambiguous presentation. This book is arranged strictly in accordance with the requirements of students at the P.G. & U.G. level in all the Universities in general, and Kannur University in particular. The major advantage of this book is the inclusion of most relevant and up to date theories and applications of Environmental Economics. In this book, the readers can realize that, the environmental issues are viewed from an economic perspective, and therefore economic solutions to environmental protection are amply incorporated.
