This is book is an introduction and explains foundations. It shows how the English legal system is composite, brought into existence by men and institutions. The nature and character of the central body of English law is explained by reference to its history and finally tried to show the sources of inspiration and the manner of their use. English law, like Rome, was not built in a day, nor it was planned by one man. Indeed, it is a shrine that was made by men, but many men of their day and generation have wrought in it, and so long as it stands will continue to raise new parts. Nor is it unchanged, unchanging or unchangeable, for much of the old has been pulled down and some remains yet to go, but the spirit of its traditions survives. ISBN:9788175341302
