Summary Of The Book
On the eve of his thirteenth birthday, Harry learns that the escaped criminal Sirius Black is after him. The news of the escape of Black from Azkaban, the wizard prison, creates a scare in Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Also, on his way to school, Harry had seen a huge scary black dog, which is considered inauspicious in the world of magic. Professor Trelawney, the Professor of Divination, interprets the sighting of the dog as a prediction of Harry’s imminent death.
As the prisoner Black makes attacks aimed at Harry, his friends learn some secrets about the black dog. There are more twists and turns to the story, as Harry and his friends learn more about Black and are embroiled in yet another adventure at Hogwarts.
