Ever since the dawn of civilization in the country, various cults and creeds had emerged on the Indian religious horizon. While some of them vanished in the place of their origin, as suddenly as they had mushroomed. Some of them disappeared having lost their relevance in due course of time, still some continued to be followed even to the present times. The cult of Vinayaka happens to be one of them.
