Health is an important determinant of economic and social development, because ill health creates vicious circle by depleting human energy, leading to low productivity and earning capacity; deteriorating quality and quality of consumption and standard of living. Therefore, a nation ought to give adequate attention to the health care of its people. The slogan ‘Health for All’ by 2000 A.D of the World Health Organization was appealing and quite encouraging to developing countries like India, where medical and health services have yet to cover the rural and urban poor. The objective of attaining the goal, ‘Health for All’, not only depends on the formulation of aggressive health policies, evolving suitable administrative machinery and providing adequate facilities, but also on people’s perception of the total efforts of the government. The Present study is about people’s perception on Health care services. The annual increase in death rate, which prevailed in Tirupattur town called for an immediate study and remedial measures. The finding of the study will provide suitable methods to solve the problem through revitalizing the health care facilities and health care services in the study area. ISBN : 9788183871778
