For understanding of a culture as universal experience, we must have more and more details about the regional cultural manifestations. Hence, for understanding the a nation, the study of regional history become important. In fact, the history of a nation is like a bouquet constituted by the regional cultural flowers. As every region become equally important for making of the total history of a particular nation. The present book aims at focusing the socioeconomic conditions of Maharashtra, a state of India union, which has evolved its distinct culture i.e. the Marathi culture. The evolution of this Marathi or Maharashtri culture is a log drawn process, which seems to have begum during the of the satavahanas a phase of this process from 1100 to 1600 A.D., which was a period of transition form ancient to medieval. This study is based this region, including Sanskrit, Marathi, Kannada, Arabic and Persian inscription as well as the contemporary Marathi literature.
