Through U.S leaders try to convince the world of their success in fighting Al-Qaeda, one senior member of the U.S intelligence community would like to inform the public that the United States and its allies are in fact losing war on terror. The greatest danger for Americans confronting the radicial Islamist Threat is to belive- at the urging o fU.S leaders- that Muslims attack us for what we we think rather than what we dso. Rhetorical political blustering "informs " the public that Islamists are offended by the Western world`s democratic freedoms, civil liberatis, intermingling of genders and seperateion of church and state. However , although aspects of the modern world may offend conservative Muslim , non Islamic leaders , for ex. fommented disapproval of specific U.S. policies and their attendent military , political and economic implications . Captilizing on growth anti US animosty, osama bin laden genius lies not simply in calling for jahad, but in articualting a consistency and convincing cas that Islam is under attack by America and its Allies. Al- Qaeda`s public statement condem the American protection of corrupt Muslim religion , unqualified support for Israel, the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan , and furthur litany of real world grievance. Bin Laden supportersthus identify their problem and belive its solution lies in war. "Anonymoous" contends they will go to any length , not to destroy our secular , democratic way of life but to deter what they view as specific attacke on their lands , their communities and thier religion. Unless U.S leaders recognize this fact and adjust their policies abroad accordingly , even moderate Muslims will be radicialized into supporting bin laden anti -western offences.
