ABOUT THE AUTHORThe author brings a unique blend of knowledge and experience to the task of providing a practical book on avk~nrcs. John holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He started his career at a University Research Center but succumbed to the lure of aviation and opened a general aviation avionics business providing sales, service and installations. After selling his avionics business he joined Narco Avionics and for ten years was active in the design of many avionics products.John is an avid and experienced pilot with 3500 hours and holds a commercial pilots license, single and multiengine land with instrument, flight instructor and instrument instructor ratings. As well as extensive personal and business flying experience he has spent many leisure hours flight instructing. He is now a project manager in the defense electronics industry providing products for military aircraft.
